328 controls not acting right

Trying to narrow down a Deere 328 skid steer issue without assuming it's the same setup as a 328E. If the controls move but one loader function is weak while travel still works, where would you start looking?

If travel is normal and only one loader function is weak, that points more toward that function's spool, linkage, pilot/electric control, relief, or cylinder leakage than a main pump problem. Check the correct 328 manual, not the 328E layout.

A cylinder leak can show up as drift or a function that gets worse under load, but a weak cylinder may not always have obvious drift. If it holds position but is weak both ways, the control or valve side is another possibility. That split can save you from pulling cylinders first.

If the controls move but that function has little or no cylinder response, a coupler that isn't fully seated or a damaged hose is another possibility. With the machine safely shut down and pressure relieved, inspect the couplers and hose routing before getting into the valve or cylinder.
