Cat skid steer transport weight

Trying to allow for the machine, bucket and whatever else is left on it when figuring trailer capacity. Is the published operating weight close enough for a Cat skid steer, or are you guys scaling the whole setup first?

Use the published operating weight as the bare-machine baseline, not the trailer number. Bucket, forks, counterweights, fuel, and anything left in the cab all add up. If the trailer is close on capacity, scale the loaded setup rather than trusting the brochure figure.

Make sure the spec is for the exact model and setup, not just a similar Cat. Skid steers and track loaders get mixed into searches pretty easily, and rated operating capacity isn't machine weight. The model decal or serial lookup should get you to the right operating-weight spec.
