First machine you ever ran? Still remember it?

Still remember the very first skid steer I ever ran. Old machine, loud cab, controls felt rough and I honestly had no idea what I was doing at first. Funny thing is after running so many different machines later, that first one is still the one I remember the most. Curious what everyone else started on and if you still remember it :giggle:

Started on a track loader during a muddy job and at the time I thought all machines handled like that. Later I switched to wheels and almost felt like I had to relearn everything. Funny how your first experience kind of sets your expectations for years after.

I learned on an older machine my boss refused to replace because it “still worked.” No cab suspension, loud all day, and visibility wasn’t great. But looking back it taught me patience and smoother control inputs. Newer machines feel easy after learning on something like that.

First one for me was a Deere. Took me a while to get used to turning while lifting without making a mess. Once it clicked though I didn’t want to get off it.
