Grading attachment choices

Trying to sort out which attachment makes the most sense for gravel touch-up versus shaping a drainage slope. What are you guys using on a skid steer when the job needs more than just spreading material?

For gravel touch-up, a land plane or grader attachment is usually less fussy. A box blade moves more material, but it can leave you chasing the finish. For a drainage slope, the dozer blade gives better control of the cut.

Attachment width and weight can change the answer fast. Match it to the loader or CTL model and its lift capacity, not just the job.

For finish grading, a smoother or grader attachment beats a dozer blade. The blade is better when you still need to cut and shape the slope.

How packed is the gravel or slope material? A land plane works nice on loose aggregate, but hard-packed base or sod usually needs a blade to break it loose first.
