JD 250 pulls on one side

Looking at an older JD 250 skid steer that drives unevenly from side to side. Without guessing at parts, what symptom details would you want along with the PIN before deciding whether it’s worth digging into?

Whether it pulls with the bucket empty versus pushing into a pile matters too. A drift at idle on level ground can be control or linkage related; a weak side that shows up only under load points more toward the drive circuit or final drive. Note whether it changes after it warms up.
