What’s one thing you wish you knew before buying your first skid steer?

When I bought my first skid steer I paid way too much attention to specs and not enough to real life ownership stuff. Things like maintenance access, attachment compatibility and even comfort didn’t cross my mind until later... Looking back there are definitely things I wish someone had told me beforehand. What’s one thing you learned the hard way?

My first purchase looked great on paper. Low hours, clean paint, good price. A few months later I realized the previous owner probably ignored maintenance because small issues started showing up one after another. Nothing catastrophic but enough to remind me that maintenance history is more important than appearance.

I wish I paid more attention to local dealer support. Machine itself was fine but getting parts or help took forever sometimes.
